What data do you collect?
None that identifies you: there are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts on this site.
The generator and the other tools run entirely in your browser. Photos you add, text you type and images you download are processed on your device and are never sent to us.
What does my browser store?
Only what you choose to keep, in your own browser's local storage.
- An automatic copy of your last mockup on each tool page, so a refresh doesn't lose your work.
- Drafts you save by name.
- Whether you prefer Simple or Advanced mode.
This data stays on your device. Clear it at any time by deleting site data for faketweetgenerator.org in your browser settings. We can't see or recover it.
What about share links?
Settings are encoded in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers never send to web servers.
If you paste a share link somewhere, whoever receives it can read the text and settings in it, so treat it like the text itself. Images are never included.
Who hosts the site?
Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (IP address, browser type, requested page) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We don't receive personal data from Cloudflare beyond aggregate traffic and error statistics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles request data.
What happens when I email you?
We use your address only to reply, and we delete correspondence when it's no longer needed.
We don't add anyone to mailing lists and we don't share email addresses.
Children
The site doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because there are no accounts or forms, there is nothing to collect.
Changes
