What can I change in the profile mockup?
Every visible part of the header: banner, photo, name, checkmark, username, button, bio, category, location, link, birthday, joined date, counts and the active tab.
The layout follows x.com's profile page: a 3:1 header across the top, a 134-pixel photo overlapping its bottom-left edge with a ring in the background color, the button on the right, then name, username, bio, the details line with small icons, Following and Followers counts, and the tab bar.
How do I use it for a brand pitch?
Load the client's draft banner and logo from your computer, write the proposed bio, and download one version per option.
- Use the real header image at 1500 × 500 so you see the crop X will apply.
- Write the bio to 160 characters and check how the hashtags and mentions look in blue.
- Compare Light and Lights out: logos with thin dark outlines often disappear on black.
- Set realistic counts. A profile pitch with 1.2M followers for a local bakery distracts from the design.
For the full checklist, read how to set up an X profile that works.
Can I make a profile for a real person?
Only your own, or one you're designing with the account owner's permission.
A believable profile of someone else is the first step of an impersonation account, and X suspends those. The MOCKUP label stays on until you confirm the profile is yours, fictional, or a design mockup.
Questions people ask
What size is the X header image?
X recommends 1500 x 500 pixels (3:1) for the header. The profile photo is shown as a circle (or a rounded square for gold-check businesses); 400 x 400 pixels is the recommended upload size.
How long can an X bio be?
160 characters. Mentions and hashtags in the bio become links, and the website field is separate.
Which tabs does a profile show?
Posts, Replies, Highlights (Premium), Articles (Premium), Media and Likes. Likes became private in June 2024, so on other people's profiles the Likes tab no longer lists what they liked.
