Using the tools
The tools are free to use for personal and commercial work, provided you follow these terms and the law.
You own the images you make, subject to the rights of anyone whose name, likeness or content you include. Attribution isn't required, though we appreciate a link.
What you agree not to do
You agree not to use the tools or images made with them to:
- Impersonate a real person, brand or organization in a way meant to deceive.
- Present a fabricated post, message or profile as genuine, including in news, legal proceedings, elections or disputes.
- Defame, harass, threaten or extort anyone.
- Run scams, phishing, fake giveaways or fraudulent endorsements.
- Spread false information about voting, public health or emergencies.
- Break the rules of the platform where you share the image.
Your responsibility
You're responsible for what you make and where you share it.
The mockup label is a safeguard, not a legal shield. Removing it requires your confirmation that the image is a parody, design mockup or teaching example; giving that confirmation falsely is a breach of these terms.

The tools and guides are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We try hard to keep guides accurate, but X changes often; check X's own help center before relying on any detail for something important. We aren't liable for any loss arising from use of the site.
